Cambodia occupies an area of 181,035 sq. km. (69,898 sq. miles) in the Indochina Peninsula with a 443 km (275 miles) coastline along the Gulf of Thailand. The country lies entirely with the tropics, experiencing a hot and humid climate with distinct monsoon seasons. Cambodia is divided into 24 provinces and within it are the municipalities and districts, further divided into communes and quarters.

  • Phnom Penh - The capital and largest city in Cambodia as well as centre of economic activity.
  • Banlung - Northeastern provincial capital located near some great waterfalls and national parks.
