Shooting Range
About 40 minutes from Siem Reap (on Road 67 to Banteay Srey).
Military shooting range where you can try out armament and explosives, limited only by how much you are willing to spend. Supervised by retired soldiers turned "used car salesmen" who put a hard sell on you to try out the weaponry including machine guns. This is a game of Russian roulette - fancy pulling the pin of a 30 year old grenade and possibly getting the faulty one! Make sure that whoever is supervising you is also willing to stand next to you. Prices are not cheap! AK-47 or M-16 cost USD50 per clip, M-60 cost USD80 per belt (50 rounds) and grenade USD30 per throw.

Cambodian Cooking Class
Centre of Sivutha Bvld and Alley West 9 (in a village located about 10 minutes from Siem Reap).
Cambodian cooking class organised by Beyond Unique Escape (www.beyonduniqueescapes.com). Classes include a visit to a local family and information on Khmer cooking including ingredients, herbs and vegetables used. Also learn about their customs, superstitions and beliefs. Hands on classes for a maximum of six people - unless you book for a private group. USD22 for a half day class and USD35 for a full day class.

Massage
The Khmers believe that Thai massage is derived from Khmer massage but is more relaxing as it requires less twisting and turning. The numerous Khmer style massage shops in Siem Reap are mostly genuine massage and not a front for sexual services. If you feel unsure what type they will give you, a safe bet is to opt for one of the blind massage services. The blind trained masseurs are most often (though there are few exceptions) the real deal. Some are inside the night market.
