Indonesia comprises of more than 18,000 islands stretching 4,000 km (2,500 miles) from Sumatra in the west to Irian Jaya in the east. The country is home to more than 240 million people and the world's fourth populous nation. For many visitors, the island of Bali is the favoured destination with its legendary beaches and scenic highlands. However, there are other destinations to consider including the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan, Komodo National Park and highland city of Bandung to name a few.
