KLIA-Low Cost Carrier Terminal

Kuala Lumpur International Airport - Low Cost Carrier Terminal (KLIA-LCCT or just LCCT) opened in March 2006 and currently serves AirAsia, Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific. Though the LCCT is across the runway tarmac from the main KLIA terminal building, it is nearly 20 km apart away by road. A gigantic new LCCT building is being built close to KLIA and will be called "KLIA2" - due for completion in 2012. KLIA2 will be linked by the KLIA Ekspres train with KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur.

Shuttle between KLIA & LCCT
There are frequent shuttle buses connecting KLIA and the LCCT, costing RM2.50 per trip.
Be careful when locating the shuttle buses at the airports, as some unscrupulous taxi drivers give the appearance of being airport customer service personnel and will try to steer unsuspecting tourists to a mini-bus or taxi. The fare is often many times greater than the actual cost of the shuttle bus and in the range of MYR70-90.
