Post Office
The main post office in Langkawi is in Kuah Town on the road to the Jetty Point ferry terminal and another at Padang Mat Sirat near Langkawi International Airport. There is also a mini post office at the Padi Complex in Pantai Cenang. Besides selling stamps, the post offices also provide parcel and courier services within and outside Malaysia. The post offices open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and closes on Fridays and public holidays.

Broadband is available and many internet cafes can be found in Kuah Town and along Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. Charges for accessing the internet is around MYR2.50 per hour. Many hotels and resorts in Langkawi provide free Wi-Fi access. Some restaurants and cafes may also provide Wi-Fi internet access for their customers.

Land-line telephone service is good in Langkawi and there are public payphones across the island. Local calls are 10 sen for three minutes and you can dial directly to make long distance calls from the local payphones. If you have a mobile phone and staying a while in Langkawi or Malaysia, you can purchase a pre-paid SIM card for as little as MYR10 from the telephone shops.

The Tourist Information Centre is located at CHOGM Park along Jalan Persiaran Putra in Kuah Town. Staffs at the Centre can provide you with useful travel information and answer your enquiries. The Centre also has an extensive range of brochures including information on accommodation, major attractions, tour options, places to eat and maps.
