Getting In

By Boat

There are daily ferry services sailing between Melaka and Indonesian port cities in Sumatra including Dumai, Pekanbaru and Bengkalis. All the ferries arrive and depart from Jeti Shahbandar (Harbour Master's Jetty) located at Taman Melaka Raya near the Maritime Museum. The jetty and museum is just down the road from the Dutch (Red) Square. To get to and from the jetty, Melaka Town Bus No. 17 (green) stops nearby Jeti Shahbandar and runs into the city centre. Taxis are usually available from the jetty.
