Marina Bay, Singapore

See & Do

Sands SkyPark
Marina Bay Sands. Opening: Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission:
SGD20 for adults and SGD14 for children.
The SkyPark defies gravity, perched 55 stories above the ground like a surfboard on top of three hotel towers. Views aside, there's not much bang for your buck and the pool is open only to hotel guests. The alternative to paying the entry fee is to visit the restaurants for lunch, which will set you back around SGD50 per person but you can freely explore the SkyPark afterwards. Purchase the t
ickets from the hotel lobby at Tower 3.

Marina Bay Sands Casino
Marina Bay Sands. Opening: daily.
Singapore's second casino but larger and glitzier than its family-oriented competitor on Sentosa Island. The casino features 600 gaming tables and 1,500 slot machines. If you are curious and not a gambler, foreign visitors can enter for free but Singaporeans and residents have to pay SGD100 just to get in! An age limit of 16 applies and you'll need to bring your ID card or passport.

Singapore Flyer
30 Raffles Avenue. Opening: Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Admission:
SGD30 for adults and SGD21 for children.
This 150-meter tall observation wheel is modeled on the London Eye but the world's tallest. One rotation takes about 30 minutes and for an extra SGD22, you can sip on a cocktail while admiring the views, but expect to share your capsule with as many as 28 people unless you are willing to stump up a cool SGD1,000 for a private ride.

Esplanade Theatres on the Bay
1 Esplanade Drive (City Hall MRT Station). Admission: F
rom SGD20-30 to over SGD100.
Singapore's equivalent of Sydney's famous Opera House, except that the two-lobed spiky Singaporean version deliberately bears a striking resemblance to the durian, a spiny tropical fruit with a notorious odour. Opera, dance, classical concerts and similar entertainment are offered daily. For the traveller on a budget, there are usually free outdoor performances on weekends
on the riverside stage.

ArtScience Museum
10 Bayfront Avenue. Opening: Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission:
SGD15-28 for adults and SGD9-16 for children.
ArtScience Museum is the world's first ArtScience museum and the largest private museum in Singapore. It is part of the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort.
