Pattaya's cabarets are well known for its katoey cabaret (ladyboy or transvestite) shows. However, don't expect any sleaze or raunchy acts at these shows. The theatres usually have a grand stage setting with performers in dazzling costumes singing and well choreographed dancing.

Two of the best known katoey cabarets in Pattaya are:
  • Alcazar Cabaret Show, Pattaya 2 Rd (opposite the Big C shopping centre). Shows at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and, 9:30 p.m. Directly after the show, performers come out for a few minutes for a short photo session. 40 baht per photo with each performer of your choise or 200 baht for an instant photo by their own photographer. Tickets cost 600-800 baht with a VIP seat (closer to the front) costing 200 extra.
  • Tiffany's Show (, Pattaya 2 Rd. Shows at 6:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m and 9:00 p.m. The 7:30 shows is deemed as the best for the night. The shows are family-friendly and after each show, performers gather for photos sessions with interested audience for a tip - 40 to 100 baht depending on the rank of the ladyboy (front row ladyboys are more costly to take photos with than the back rows). Some ladyboys offers free photos session though. Contact Tiffany's directly for a complimentary pick-up from your hotel. Ticket prices are 500-800 baht.
Some roadside local travel agents offers significantly cheaper ticket prices for the above shows including VIP seats.

Theatres in Pattaya offering world-class performances include:

  • Pattaya Open Eyes Show, 2nd Floor Pattaya Bazaar, 266/52-53 North Pattaya Rd. Showtime is from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A world class magic show act with fantastic illusions to wow the audience. The magic show are in various acts including Aladdin, the Mermaid, Invisible Woman and Wonderland. Each act is shown in rotation.
  • Thai Alangkarn Theater (, 1 Sukhumvit Rd. Showtime on Thursday-Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. An extravaganza of Thai performing arts set upon a 70-metre Hexa stage. The theater has a seating for 2,000 in tiers, a cultural rostrum and a restaurant with 1,000 seats.
  • Tuxedo Magic Theatre (, 78/16-17 Pattaya Sai 2. Daily shows at 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. A magic theater in the form of a split-level restaurant. The show is performed by a team of magicians led by Mr. Tuxedo, a world-class Thai magician who has performed around the world.
