Pattaya, Thailand

There are many restaurants, food carts (mobile and stationary), food courts and food markets in Pattaya. Restaurants and food courts here also include those specialising in Western and other Asian cuisines especially Japanese and Indian dishes. Many (although not all) non-Thai-cuisine restaurants have at least a limited menu of Thai favourites. For the less adventurous, there are the Western restaurant chains including McDonald's, KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut.

Being located by the coast, Chonburi Province (where Pattaya is located) offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes. As there are a lot of people from the Isaan region (in northeastern Thailand) living and working in Pattaya, there is an abundance of northeastern favourites such as som tam (spicy papaya salad ), kai yaang (roast chicken), khao niaw (sticky rice) and tom saep (hot & sour soup).
