Phang Nga Bay

Phang Nga Bay is a bay situated between Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi. The bay is one of the most beautiful in Thailand and within the bay are several scenic islands to be visited. These islands are famous for its gravity-defying limestone formations. Most visitors explore the bay in a one-day boat tour but the larger islands have accommodation making it possible for longer stays.

Tour operators organise many different tours and most of them follow the standard route around the bay passing weird rock formations, limestone outcrops, hidden lakes, tiny beaches and caves. Sea-canoeing is a popular activity in Phang Nga Bay and available as the more popular one-day tours or more extended tours involving overnight camping on the islands' beaches. Many mangrove swamps and island grottoes in Phang Nga Bay are only accessible by canoe.
